1) Magical items/sufficiently advanced technology will be allowed as long as it's not overly a weapon - HOWEVER, depending on what the use is, it may be nerfed or rendered completely non-functional (ex. a FF character can regain a Phoenix Down, but it would just be a pretty feather, or a Digidestined could regain their Digivice but it would effectively be the Tamagotchi For Boys(TM) that the IRL version is).
2) Yes. Plastic/inflatable/rubber/otherwise harmless replicas of weapons from home are fine, within a certain size limit. Replicas of firearms can have a trigger and make a "pop" or click when cocked, but cannot fire any kind of projectile. No replicas of bullets or arrows or other projectiles are allowed.
3) It is acceptable to have a slight variation in renewable regains, however there must be evidence of the character in question owning or having access to them in canon. For this example, "showing signs" is not strong enough evidence. If he was explicitly stated or shown to have owned or access to an extensive library of books on major cultures, then that would be a suitable renewable. As another example, Bro or Dave Strider from Homestuck could have a veritable rainbow of smuppets as a renewable regain, even in colors that are not explicitly shown in the comic, because Bro creates them and Dave has to live with them.
